Mazda RX7 FC3S – WEED Pro Shop

A track car with one off parts! You can’t go wrong with a nice FC RX7!

There’s something so cool yet gritty about cars that get used hard whether it be track driving or drifting; especially when it’s a high revving RX7. Man, I need an FC…WEED is a shop that specializes in the 2nd generation RX7 that was made from 1985-1991 (FC3S).

The owner has a lot of his “in house” (WEED) parts on this car which you’ll see below, including a lot of rare parts! He told me they are for sale but only within Japan. I’m sure we could use someone like Andrew Date at DefyAuto to get those parts to the states without an issue. (shameless plug)

He first started competing in time attack events 20 years ago. After the first five years, due to circumstances in life he quit, but he has returned as of last year. During his return after 15 years, he has been doing shakedown runs at Tsukuba. His top time at the main course (TC2000) is currently 1:00.036 almost 20 years ago on a 255! With new age tires and aero added, he is trying for better lap times. I’m sure he’ll get that time beat soon!
