Yasuto has been driving 180sx’s since he was 19 years old. Being 50 years old this year, that means he’s been into this chassis literally since it’s release and with drift team Sawagani Racing! That’s cool!
Yasuto’s story is of perseverance, consistency, and having the drive to continue even if no one else has your passion around you. He started drifting with an MR2 and soon after went straight for a 180sx after seeing Wave’s famous pink car that even Americans know of! From then on, he continued with the 180sx chassis. From 2012 to 2021 he quit drifting all together to put his family first and raise his kids. Thankfully, during that time, he kept this car and returned; in 2022 winning an award at the SR Heritage Japan meeting within the drift contest. He took another short break and came back in 2024 and won another award! This car we see is his 3rd 180sx that he completed in December 2007.

We’ll show the photos and video below of this awesome car with a mix of old and new styles making it his own! We’ll also check out the car modifications within the car setup ~ He’s blown 49 (forty-nine) transmissions from 1995 to 2010! Seems like the update in 2011 fix that!
